We are family...

So, in an uncharacteristic slump of non-photo taking, I've been reduced to sharing event round-ups by description only. (Mostly because I can't find the charger for my camera battery, but I digress...) Tonight was Matt & Gemma's wedding and it was fabulous! The bride and groom both looked incredibly happy and really glowed with the excitement of the occasion. The reception was SUPER fun and packed with lots of drinking, dancing, random high kicks, and CAKE. mmmm, caaaaake. Anyway, we had a brilliant time and really just soaked in the moments with all the family and friends.

We're really settling in here, and it hasn't been as hard as I was afraid it might be.Everyone has been super accommodating, and I almost feel guilty about what a good time I'm having. That being said, the BUG situation is OUT OF CONTROL. The bugs in OKC LOVE ME. They are addicted to me... There is a 12 step program for Erin blood and these bugs are in need of an intervention. It's out of hand... If anyone has any tips for repelling bugs, let me know! Bug spray doesn't really seem to work! Oh, and why hasn't anyone invented a spray that doesn't smell like a vat of toxic waste? This stuff really STINKS...blech!

Well, I've got a busy weekend planned, so I'll check in later. Pics of the new house to come! We are busy working with Tim's dad on a few little projects around the house and are going to pick out paint this weekend. Wheeeee!

There is something I read once about certain people having a special hormone that mosquitoes are quite fond of. I seem to have it as does my youngest son. In addition to the toxic bug sprays you can try Avon's Skin So Soft. It smells better and is supposed to work to deter mosquitoes. Congrats on ease of settling in!
