Breaking News
We are trying to check off all the last minute stuff before the big move this weekend. We just got back from getting new tags for the kitties (in case they run off, I want to make sure they get sent to OKC, not Denver!) and now I'm back in the saddle for round two of my work day. That's right people, I work 9-3, take and hour or two break to run errands or pack and then start work around 5:30 until about midnight. INSANITY.
My sister and her babies finally made it to their new house in Pennsylvania, and it sounds like they are settling in quite nicely. I was so worried about her having to fly, 6 months pregnant, while trying to manage a 13 month old and a 3 year old, but she managed just fine. Pregnant ladies get lots of help at airports, I guess. :)
Our friends Sam & Rachel had a healthy baby boy this week and they named him Miles Austin Davis. How cute is that? He was tiny, but beautiful with a thick head of reddish/brownish hair. We got to see him the same day he was born and spend some QT with them in the hospital. I'm always so grateful when babies are born without complications.
The apartment is filled to the brim with boxes and we are both working feverishly to try to get to a stopping point on Wednesday so we can finish up and get organized. We need to get the get the oil changed on the car, and get the tires checked...and try to find out what that weird smell is in the trunk. :| SO much to do before we can make this trek across KansASS. Meanwhile, our new home is in a town where the average temperature this time of year is mid-90's. YeeeeHAW!
